= About 25 minutes
Ground turkey (or chicken) = 1 pound
Cauliflower = 1 cauliflower head, chopped into 10 -12 small pieces
Ginger root = A piece about 2 inches x 1 inch. Peeled and sliced
Yogurt = 2 tablespoons
Celery = 1 stick, chopped
Olive oil = 2 tablespoons
Onion = 1 medium, chopped
Garlic = 2 or 3 cloves, sliced
Tomatoes = 2 , sliced
Sea-Salt = ½ teaspoon (to taste)
Turmeric = ¼ teaspoon
Cilantro or Basil or Mint leaves = Preferably fresh 8-10 or dried, 1 teaspoon
Cumin (or Caraway seeds) = 1/2 teaspoon
Cayenne pepper or black pepper = 1/2 teaspoon
Use a medium size pot. Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until
translucent. Add 1/4 cup of water, turmeric powder, ginger, celery and
tomatoes, and cover. Cook for another 5 minutes on low heat.
Then, add ground turkey or chicken. Break up meat so that it is
in small pieces. Cook until pink is gone, which takes about 5 - 10
minutes. Add cauliflower and yogurt. Cook on low heat, covered, for
about 15 minutes, stirring sparingly. In the end, add cilantro or basil
or mint leaves.
In the beginning, add cumin (or caraway seeds), black pepper OR cayenne pepper after adding water.
